This policy aims to clarify the importance of all beneficiaries of Reef Skills and Training Center services adhering to integrity in the e-training environment, to explain forms of integrity violations, and to outline the procedures and penalties that Reef Skills and Training Center applies when integrity is violated in the e-training environment. It also aims to reduce the occurrence of such violations.

Concept of Integrity and Its Importance:

The concept of integrity is considered one of the core values in any institution or work environment, including Reef Skills Training Center.

The term "integrity" refers to acting honestly and truthfully without resorting to cheating or deception in any dealings or activities. In other words, integrity means individuals’ compliance with ethical standards and applicable laws, and avoiding any unethical or unlawful actions.

Forms of Integrity Violations:

  • Cheating in exams: This includes using unauthorized sources during electronic exams, such as searching the Internet or using written notes.
  • Submitting non-original work: This includes submitting assignments or projects that have been copied or stolen from other sources without permission or proper citation.
  • Unauthorized collaboration: This may involve trainees cooperating to solve tasks or exams in illegal or unethical ways.
  • Falsifying information: This involves providing forged or inaccurate information in required assignments or reports in the e-training environment.
  • Use of prohibited materials: This includes using materials that are not permitted, such as books or crib sheets, during exams or training tasks.
  • Manipulation of results: This includes altering or falsifying results in illegal or unauthorized ways to obtain better outcomes.
  • Bias: This includes giving preferential treatment to certain trainees at the expense of others without legal or ethical justification.

These forms represent only some examples of integrity violations in the e-training environment. Educational institutions and training centers face ongoing challenges in attempting to minimize them and to maintain a fair and honest learning environment for all participants.

Procedures and Penalties for Integrity Violations:

Procedures:

The procedures followed for integrity violations include: notifying the concerned parties, including students, trainers, and administrative staff, and suspending the individual's access to the platform until the matter is verified.

Penalties:

If the violation is confirmed, the appropriate penalty will be applied, such as retaking the exam, erasing progress in educational experiences or the training program, restricting access to the platform, or permanently deleting the account. All violations and actions taken will be documented.

Policy Application:
